Christopher hughes, MA

I am currently a psychology associate at St. Petersburg Holistic Psychology Clinic. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Pennsylvania State University and my Masters Degree from Florida School of Professional Psychology and I am currently receiving my Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology at Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University, a APA accredited training program.

I have a strong desire to be a warm and inviting presence to clients and I specialize in working with families, couples, men's issues, substance abuse, psychotic-related disorders, athletes, and anxiety-related disorders. I am dedicated to being an empathetic and understanding individual who can provide a space for all clients to share their thoughts and feelings without judgement. My goals as a therapist involve building a strong relational foundation within therapy, as I believe trust, comfort, and personal security within a therapeutic session are crucial for setting and reaching client goals. I have experience working with diverse populations and wish to foster a space of acceptance for all clients, regardless of background. Within therapy, I am interested in taking an integrative approach that includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Process Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to name a few, and this allows for treatment to be catered to each client based on their goals and desires.

I look forward to working with you towards your goals!
