Dr. Zoe Love Verrico, Psy.D.
Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident
Starting in September 2025!
It is an honor to accompany you on your journey of self-discovery and healing! I firmly believe that we as human beings all have an innate drive toward healing and are wired for connection, and that no one should carry overwhelming and painful experiences alone. You deserve to feel heard, seen, known, and humanized.
My approach to therapy is client-centered, compassion-focused, and trauma-informed. You know yourself and your needs best, and my job is to meet you right where you are. I embed warmth, humor, and curiosity into getting to know you, and seek to understand who you are in the context of your upbringing, belief systems, life experiences, and intersectional identities.
The therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest and best predictors of treatment success. As such, I aim to foster a comfortable, collaborative, and transparent environment where your real-time feedback and experiences of treatment are always welcomed and encouraged.
I primarily provide in-person services and specialize in treating adults (ages 18+) and Veterans with trauma/PTSD, complex trauma, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, somatic/chronic pain, interpersonal and relationship challenges, adjustment challenges, and more.
As an integrationist, I combine multiple evidence-based psychotherapies to foster accelerated growth and healing. I primarily utilize relational/experiential, body-based, and emotion-focused psychotherapies including Accelerated-Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Additionally, I weave in elements of Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am intentional about catering the above approaches and interventions to your individual treatment needs and goals.
If you are interested in learning more and connecting further, please reach out to see if I would be a good fit for what you are looking for!
